A child with dyslexia learns differently and therefore needs to be taught differently.  Dyslexia can present a range of challenges that may be apparent in reading and writing to varying degrees.

Using an Orton Gillingham based methodology, lessons are developed for each individual child to make progress through phonemic awareness to reading fluency.

Systematic language lessons are planned to support your child in cracking the reading code.

Your child will learn:

- Sound/symbol recognition

- Syllable types

- Spelling rules

- Base words and affixes

- Irregular words

- Basic grammar and punctuation

- Reading comprehension

Multisensory strategies are incorporated throughout every lesson to aid learning, memory, and recall. With the use of interactive resources and research-backed programs, students progress from decoding simple words with accuracy to reading with increasing fluency.  Every child's learning profile is different and so every session is planned to utilize strengths while developing or strengthening areas of weakness.
